Main Street, Jamaica, Vermont
c. 1906
Not much has changed. Fifty years ago
the road was paved, and most of those maple trees were cut when they did
it, but on the surface, that's about it.
There is apt to be a little more activity
now. With more than a dozen unique, locally owned and operated shops, galleries,
stores, inns and restaurants on Main Street alone, there's a lot to do
and a lot to see that you'll simply not find elsewhere. There's not a franchise,
a branch store or an outlet to be found.
The shops keep their own schedules,
so be sure to click on each.
